CineSea is an intimate gathering of people who love film. We watch films. We talk about films. We buy/sell/trade films. Not only are there screenings, special presentations and tables full of film & equipment in gauges from 8mm to 35mm, there's also a beach, a boardwalk and an amusement park!

At CineSea 30, Evan Samaras & George Scoufaras screened Projection, a feature they wrote, produced, directed, and edited. Shot on Super 16mm, Projection is a psychological thriller about an aspiring filmmaker determined to bring his script to life. As the lines between his artistic vision and reality begin to blur, things take a sinister turn.

The screening was followed by a Q&A with Evan and George. Projection is currently playing at festivals across the country, so be sure to keep an eye out for it. 

 

 

FILM IS DEAD. LONG LIVE FILM!

 

 

 

We had a record crowd at CineSea 25 to watch a work-in-progress cut of Peter Flynn’s fascinating documentary about the world of film collecting and film restoration. Peter shot at a number of our shows and interviewed many CineSea regulars. FILM IS DEAD. LONG LIVE FILM! recently had its streaming premiere, so anyone who's interested in film should make an effort to see this documentary. CineSea is on The Humming Projector!
